Implications of the concept of lifelong learning in family education

Abstract


The family is in reality the first educational institution for the growth and development of children. Children are prepared to be able to speak, think, be creative, imagine, to be able to produce something thanks to the first education they receive in the family. In other words, the family is an introduction or provision for every child to enter maturity by thinking, acting, moving until they decide something right. Family education can be carried out in parenting activities by parents to their children, parenting by parents can be said to be good if parents give good values ​​to their children. Family education is a deliberate activity and the process continues even throughout human life. In the frame of lifelong education, which aims to achieve a learning community, education should be organized around four fundamental types of learning, which throughout one's life can be said to be the joints of knowledge, namely: learning to know, namely getting instruments or understanding; learning to do so that they are able to act creatively in their environment; learn to live together so as to be able to participate and cooperate with others in all activities; and learning to be so that a person grows and develops into an independent self.
