Abstract

In carrying out a teaching and learning activity at a course institution, certain learning methods are needed that are in accordance with the needs and learning objectives. There are many learning methods that can be used to help teachers provide learning materials to students, but in the process, each student has different abilities in receiving the subject matter, so we need a learning method that can help students to take part in learning activities but can still be adapted to the abilities of each individual student. There is a learning method that can be a solution to the above problems, namely the programmed learning method, as implemented by the AHA Smart Karawang course institution. This study aims to describe the learning process, the supporting and inhibiting factors of learning, as well as the results of programmed learning methods in course institutions. This study was conducted using a qualitative research approach and data collection techniques, observations, and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that by using the programmed learning method, the learning process focused on the learning needs of students, which could improve students' ability to work on math problems quickly and precisely, in accordance with predetermined goals. In the process of programmed learning methods, students can be free and not pressured by the demands of learning material because the material can be adapted to the abilities of the students.
