In the concept of lifelong learning, there are certain principles that underlie various exercises,activities, and engagements that can be considered as contributions to values education, and thesewill form the basis for lifelong learning programs and activities. Learning in lifelong learning is known in different forms at every stage of age and can contribute to their desire to improve their personal development and creativity as they age. This lifelong learning is a contribution tounlocking and increasing sophistication in expanding the understanding of certain values for all students, during their learning period. Lifelong learning seeks to explore ways and means by which students can be encouraged to develop and grow well as individual beings and social agents, throughouttheir entire lifespan. In the lifelong learning process, parents as an individual can get informationand knowledge in an informal way during their entire lifespan as a parent. Parents as two individuals who generally have biological and psychological attachments, and have materialresponsibility for children's education, have an important role in determining the steps ofchildren's education. For this reason, the knowledge that parents have about majoring ineducation and career planning will greatly help children as candidates for students in highereducation to consider the best education they will go through to achieve a career that has beenplanned in advance. There are several other considerations that support research related to methods of increasing parental knowledge about universities and careers for children's careerplanning, namely a great opportunity for parents to continue learning so that they can direct andplan their child's future career appropriately and accordingly. This is closely related to the principle of lifelong learning. This research will be conducted using a qualitative research approach. This approach is commonly used to see human behavior as having its own meanings and implications. Through this approach, the author wants to see how the influence of knowledge that parents have about college and careers can help children to plan their future careers properlyand appropriately.
