Abstract

This study described a training model for the formation of innovative attitudes of young entrepreneurs through increasing collaboration and community participation with project-based learning. The purpose of this research was to formulate the best way to improve the role and function of the community, academics, business people, government, and media in supporting the potential of the region in the form of a batik tourism village initiated by youth who joined KPPMK in Cisaat Village, Subang Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative where the respondents of this research consist of ten youths of KPPMK Cisaat Village, Subang Regency. The results of this study showed that networking pattern in the pentahelix concept connecting KPPMK with four other institutions engaged in academia, business, government, and media in order to collaborate in increasing the capacity of KPPMK, both institutionally and individually. This result was marked through activities between KPPMK with academics and business with the existence of an MOU and batik orders from GERTASI for the West Java area. Participation among KPPMK members in Cisaat Village, Subang Regency continues to increase, marked by a large-scale independent promotion movement. The promotions carried out encouraged increasing visitors, both from local and oversea to learn batik at KPPMK. However, collaboration and participation between governments was still low. The reason was the unavailability of the MOU and the involvement of the KPPMK Institution in various government partner organizations, likewise, collaboration among media. Strengthening in several fields must be done continually so that the pentahelix concept can actually be realized, such as delegation according to the duties and functions of each position and encouraging capacity building for each member of the KPPMK.
