Abstract

Orphans in Indonesia are a problem that requires special attention, and it is not enough just to provide compensation from the state or from charitable institutions, both nationally and internationally. This study aims to find solutions to problem-solving for orphans, especially their overly complex economic problems through livestock-based entrepreneurship. The research method used is qualitative by relying on interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the research data was obtained through triangulation and then analyzed by interactive methods. This study found that 1) the livestock-based entrepreneurship program in Omah Pak Cilik can overcome the economic problems of orphans by providing training and understanding about the management of the Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB) farm, 2) the Omah Pak Cilik program is not only an orphanage that relies on compensation, but was involved in fostering an interest in entrepreneurship in orphans since childhood, 3) the partnership built between Omah Pak Cilik and the Virtue Movement Community succeeded in developing the Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB) chicken farm.
